Lilley Associates, Inc. Newsletters
LAI publishes two newsletters. They are both comprehensive in scope and digests of global news. They are also a subtle way to keep track of your customers. For a an example of a newsletter, please see: Weekly Automotive Report.
The weekly newsletter is a digest of news and information that is both relevant and specific to the light vehicle industry on a global perspective. Depending on the topic, a story can be from one or multiple sources (all referenced) to provide comprehensive coverage. The information is whittled down to the facts, eliminating all of the ancillary puffery and repetitive quotes one must wade through to get to the meat of the news. Keeping busy executives aware of what is happening in the automotive world is the goal of this publication.
The newsletter is divided into four main parts plus an opening section on currencies, major energy sources and globally focused economic news:
- Economics – what’s going on with major economies (not a sleeping aid!)
- Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers – news and information from around the world focused on the vehicle OEM’s.
- Automotive Suppliers- news and information from around the world focused on the vehicle supplier industry.
- Materials and Technologies – New vehicle launches, powertrain, body and chassis, material advances, commodity information. Most of it covered here, providing an overview of what is happening that can affect the industry today as well as tomorrow.
This newsletter is designed for Internet delivery and to be read on-screen. That is not to say it can not be printed, but the intent is to be computer based. Every attempt is made to keep the format the same from week to week. This allows the reader to zero in on topics of interest, especially if pressed for time as they are always in the same place. Generally, the newsletter is between 20 and 30 pages per week, depending on the volume of news.
Depending on the interests of a client and the industry segment(s) they participate in, the news letter can be tailored to those interests. This applies mainly to the Materials and Technology section but in can also include supplier information. The research team can “tune” search engines and websites to focus more on specific areas of interest, so that over time the newsletter can be focused on those areas of interest.
